LF

Low Frequency (LF) operates in the 125-134 kHz range and is one of the oldest RFID frequency bands. LF signals penetrate water and thin metal well but offer very short read ranges (typically under 10 cm) and low data rates. LF is widely used for animal identification, access control cards, and car immobilizer systems.
