Infineon's SLC (Security Controller) family offers dual-interface chips that support both contact (ISO 7816) and contactless (ISO 14443) communication. SLC chips combine 3DES and AES cryptographic engines with a secure microcontroller, targeting banking cards, transport credentials, and government identity documents that require both chip-and-PIN contact and NFC tap functionality.
